Transparency Reports

At Loon Chocolate we only use ethically sourced cacao beans. 

Below you will find our the transparancy reports from our cacao bean distributors. 

Bolivian Cacao: 

Alto Beni cacao sources its cacao form 80 to 120 rural, poverty-level cacao producers in the Palos Blancos area of Sud Yungas Department in Bolivia. We collect baba on our own truck and pay at the farm gate the equivalent of  $3.50/kilo of the raw material that is then fermented and sun-dried at our plant in Sapecho. Alto Beni cacao also pays for the organic certification of these producers. We treat everyone equally, without discrimination. Farmers are free to sell the baba to us or to anyone else.
